ProteusX Legal AI Beta Terms of Use

1. About the beta

ProteusX Legal AI is provided by ProteusX Consulting Inc. (“ProteusX,” “we,” or “us”). These Terms cover the public beta account, firm-setup process and fictional sample workspace. By creating an account and accepting these Terms, you agree to them. Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle information in this beta.

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate account information. If you act for a firm, you must have authority to provide its setup information. Registration does not give you access to another person's account or your firm's existing workspace.

2. Sample documents only

The initial workspace uses fictional documents and a limited set of sample questions. Do not upload, paste or submit client documents, confidential or privileged information, protected health information, passwords, or other people's sensitive information. Use only ordinary business information requested by the setup forms.

Real-client use requires separate firm approval, configuration and any applicable agreements. These Terms are not a business associate agreement and do not authorize processing protected health information. A requested workflow, connector or firm environment is not active merely because you selected it during onboarding.

3. Review AI output

This is software, not a law firm or a legal-advice service. No attorney-client relationship is created with ProteusX. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading, including when it includes a source link. Check the underlying documents and independently verify legal conclusions, deadlines and other important facts. Do not rely on fictional sample output for an actual matter.

4. Accounts and acceptable use

Keep your credentials private and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not impersonate someone, try to access another account, bypass usage or security controls, disrupt the service, or use it unlawfully. We may apply usage limits, suspend access to address abuse or security risks, or end the beta.

5. Your information and the service

You retain any rights you have in the information you provide. You permit us to use that information as needed to operate your account, save setup progress, respond to your requests and protect the service, as described in the Privacy Notice. This permission does not transfer ownership to us.

ProteusX and its licensors retain their rights in the software and supplied materials. You may use the beta for evaluation in accordance with these Terms. AI outputs may not be unique, and we do not guarantee ownership or exclusive rights in them.

6. Availability and fees

The beta may change, be interrupted or end. Features, integrations and production firm activation are not guaranteed. Creating a beta account does not authorize a charge or enroll you in a paid subscription. Any paid service requires separate pricing and acceptance before billing.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the beta is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

7. Ending use and changes

You may stop using the beta at any time and request account deletion at kevin@proteusx.ai. We handle deletion requests as explained in the Privacy Notice. We may update these Terms, publish the new version and effective date, and provide notice of material changes through the service or your account email. Where required, we will obtain renewed acceptance.
